Frequently asked questions

Everything families ask before subscribing.

How is this different from a private admissions consultant?

It's an AI assistant, not a person. It helps with day-to-day work: building a college list, explaining ED/EA strategy, coaching essays, tracking deadlines and demystifying financial aid, at any hour. It won't call admissions offices, write essays for your student, or replace your school counselor's judgment. Most families use it alongside their counselor.

Will the assistant write my student's essays?

No — and that's deliberate. Colleges expect authentic student work, and applications can be rescinded over ghostwritten essays. Instead, the assistant coaches: it reviews uploaded drafts, identifies strengths and weaknesses, and gives specific revision guidance while preserving the student's voice.

How does essay feedback work?

Upload a Word or PDF document in the assistant chat. You'll get structured feedback on story, structure, and language. Every document is saved in your library with a revision status (draft, in review, feedback ready, revised) so you can track progress across versions.

How does the assistant stay current?

When you add a college, the assistant researches that program's current admissions requirements and shows where each detail came from. Requirements and deadlines do change, so always confirm them on the college's own website before you rely on them.

Is this for parents or students?

Both. Parents often ask about financial aid, timelines, and strategy; students ask about essays, activities, and college lists. One subscription covers a student and their parents or guardians, sharing one login.

Do you guarantee admission to any college?

No one honestly can. Admission decisions rest solely with each college. What we provide is guidance that helps your family put together the strongest application it can, at a price every family can afford.

Can I cancel anytime?

Yes. Monthly plans cancel with one click and stay active until the end of the billing period. Yearly plans can be cancelled to prevent renewal.

What grades is this for?

Grades 9–12. Earlier is better for planning (course selection, activities, testing timelines), but even seniors in the thick of applications get immediate value from essay feedback and deadline management.
